REGISTRATION AND ABSTRACT SUBMISSION:
Registration/Payment w/ Abstract Deadline: June 24, 2011
PLEASE READ THE BELOW INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE REGISTERING AND FOLLOW THE STEPS TO AVOID PROBLEMS IN REGISTRATION AND HOUSING
YOU MUST REGISTER AND MAKE PAYMENTS BEFORE ABSTRACT SUBMISSION. All applications will be accepted at the time of registration. The meeting will be capped at a maximum of 350 and participants will be accepted in the order of registration. SO PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY!!
All registration, payment and abstract submissions must be conducted on-line. The registration process has been designed to help the meeting organizers keep track of registrations, abstracts and payments, to facilitate production of the printed abstract book, and to allow users continued access to their registration information and abstract submissions up until the registration deadline.
The abstract book will be generated AUTOMATICALLY from the information you enter into the website forms so please follow the formatting instructions precisely. Author generated errors may not be corrected.
NOTE TO PIs: Please be certain your students, postdocs and others all enter your name in the same way to allow proper indexing of your abstracts.
Note: If you require an official "Certificate of Acceptance" in order to get local funding from your institution please contact MBL Conferences at conferences@mbl.edu at
. This step must be taken first as registration submittal will not be accepted without payment at time of registration.
Step 1 - Payment/Registration:
Please follow the link to proceed to secure payment/housing registration form (this must be done before continuing to MPM program book registration.)
As has been traditional for MPM, registration and costs for students and postdocs are lower than PIs and staff to encourage attendance by junior scientists.
Costs:
Registration, Housing and meals:
- PIs, staff $760.00
- Students, Postdocs $610.00
Registration and meals (not including housing)
- PIs, staff $640.00
- Students, Postdocs $480.00
Step 2 - MPM Program book registration:
After Completion of payment you will need to register for the MPM booklet and abstract submission.
MPM program book registration (if you are attending or submitting an abstract you MUST register for inclusion in the program book. Abstract will be limited to 270 words)
Each person attending the conference must register separately. Please do NOT give your password to anyone else, and do not use anyone else's password, as this could result in the accidental alteration or deletion of your abstract and registration information!
After this portion of the registration process is finished you are free to log back in as needed. You do not need to submit an abstract when you first register, as you will be able to log back in to the site to access all of your information and make changes as needed, including submitting and/or updating the abstract. However, all abstracts must be submitted (and any final changes made) before the June 24, 2011 abstract submission deadline.
CANCELLATION POLICY
After your payment has been received by the MPM, there will be a $50 cancellation fee for cancellations received before August 1, 2011 and $100 for those received thereafter. Withdrawal with Refund (minus $100.00 US): Deadline - September 7, 2011
FURTHER INFORMATION
All accepted abstracts will be presented either orally or in poster format, with speakers to be chosen on the basis of submitted abstracts. It is expected that the individual submitting an abstract will personally present the poster or talk. For reasons of time and space, we can consider only one abstract per person.
In accordance with tradition, those individuals scheduled to speak on the first day will be informed in advance, but no other detailed scheduling information will be released prior to the meeting. A list of abstract titles and authors will be available at this web site approximately one week prior to the start of meeting (by submitting an abstract, you are agreeing to the publication of the abstract title and author list on the MPM web site).
If you require accommodations for either Saturday or Thursday night in the MBL housing, you must reseve and pay in advance by contacting the Manager of Conferences and Meetings at 508-289-7214 or conferences@mbl.edu. Availability of these rooms is very limited and an additional fee of $46.00/day will be charged prior to arrival. This fee does not include meals.
